Rumor of 'Nexis & Xtraps' System wide soon.

I read a thread in the railpage website of where, someone has a thread on a rumor of which they did over hear some drivers talking, saying that the Nexis and & Xtrap sets will begin operating 'system wide' shortly.


This would be great, but have they yet overcome the technical issues with these trains like,
++The memory of the PIDS in the Xtraps, was not large enough to handle the whole system, and was too costly to expand its memory.

++Platform clearences for the Nexis sets. Although I do understand that the Nexis sets can operate system wide.

Well i recived a few sms's from Old Man Emu that an Xtrap was running an in service trip on the Werribee line, weekend before last, i know that he said one half was <925M-1663T-926M>(Don Corrie) but not sure what the other half was.

Weribee is commonly used as a test line, as trains can go at high speeds there.

Not a test train when he said he was on it. And it wasn't a rumour, this type of thing has been in the pipe line for a long time, and looks like it has been sped up a bit.

X'trapoli have also been tested on the Sandringham, Frankston and Dandenong lines.

That is great news if they can and are working system wide now.

It would be great if I can have a ride in an Xtrap on my line.

Well this so called riding of an xtrap on the Werribee line, weekend before last apears to have been the only one, no other has been sighted, and there was no mention of the xtrap as a riding or sighting on any of the major onlin groups that i know of. So i'm a little suspicious about whether its even real or not.

Will have to look into that one.

On S**tpage, Nexas flamed Tranzit Jim for saying what was said. Something about Broken Arrow / Mr Spark / Silvertachi's forum is not to be taken seriously.
